L1: Troyes vs OM
Troyes 0-1 OM: The world of good!
OM beat Troyes 1-0 on Sunday night thanks to an early goal from Sabri Lamouchi (7’). The Olympians are up to fifth for the first time this season.
TROYES 0-1 OM
0-1 Lamouchi (7)

Marseille’s win away to Troyes was a great success. OM dominated the match despite a difficult pitch and contained their opponents for three quarters of the match. The end of the match was a lot easier to deal with thanks to Sabri Lamouchi’s goal in the seventh minute. Only the last 15 minutes were in favour of the hosts, but once again, Marseille could rely upon Fabien Barthez to keep them at bay. Now, thanks to this fourth way win of the season (the third win with a five-man defence), OM are now fifth in the league. Into the top five for the first time of the campaign, OM have played one more match than PSG and Monaco.
What better way is there than an early goal to install doubt in the mind of a struggling team? Sabri Lamouchi found himself in the right place at the right time after Maoulida had done very well on left. The midfielder had time to place his shot past Le Crom, from close range (7’, 0-1) and register his fifth league goal this season. Starting the game, pushing high up the field, Marseille set up camp in the Troyes half of the field and the chances began flowing. Toifilou Maoulida was again in action in the 21st minute as he pierced through on the right, only to find the outside of the side netting. Moments before the break, OM should have turned their domination into goals. Maoulida placed his header wide of the mark (40’) before Pagis let fly with a half-volley from 25m out that forced Le Crom to palm it away. From the resulting corner, Cesar then found the crossbar with a header from the penalty spot. (44’). A very good first half, but one that could have been ruined by Troyes striker Sébastien Grax whose shot past just the wrong side of the post (43’). The Olympians began the second half where they finished the first: on the attack. Released intelligently by Pagis, Maoulida raced clear, only to see his shot fly high over the crossbar. Yet as the minutes ticked by, Troyes began to grow in confidence and pushed OM back towards their own penalty box. Nivet, thought he found the equaliser with a header, but Barthez produced the save of the match in the 83rd minute. With the final whistle Marseille’s efforts were rewarded with a win. Now the side can finally begin the much-awaited run if good results in the league.

Re: L1: Troyes vs OM
I listened to the game on the internet and it seemed like L'OM did not finish nearly enough of their chances. Barthez had to save us five minutes from time. That shouldn't have to be the case. Night everybody!
