A question about the new rep system.
NOT a whore thread. Just a q, does anyone know the pts system for this new rep thing?
How many pts until you reach each block etcetera. Most curious to how this new system works.

Re: A question about the new rep system.
That is the worst excuse for a rep whore thread that I have ever seen.
I assume it has remained the same.

Re: A question about the new rep system.
Everybody gets 1 rep point to start out with and their rep power is 1.
(except Mod rep power is 3 points)

Re: A question about the new rep system.
The secrets of the rep system are many and well-contained. Those who control its awesome power rarely divulge information, even to their shadowy disciples.

Re: A question about the new rep system.
But other than bragging rights, what exactly is the rep system for?

It's useful to mods, since seeing someone with a lot of neg rep means that poster is a potential troublemaker. The change to the system was intended to make it so that people with more rep would get there because they were actually good posters with valuable opinions, for people who care about that. Beyond that, it doesn't have all that much use. If you spend enough time here, you already know who the better posters are anyway.
