Default Training Question

I just noticed that I have 3 batting "nets" and I have the same guy in two of them.

For example it says:

Batting - Del Leary
Batting - Junior Mason
Batting - Junior Mason

Is Mason getting twice as much batting training or am I just wasting a spot?

Mason is getting more than Leary but less than twice as much. It's not wasting a spot, but you get diminishing returns.

I wouldn't say, offhand, that it's worth your while to devote more than two nets in a skill to a non-national-team-level player.

well... it really all depends...

if the player is young then its not a bad idea as if you plan on training said player for 3 seasons the extra batting or bowling net will probably get you 4 or 5 pops in that time compared to 2 or 3.

He is being looked at for the national team...

Junior Mason - 21 yo, BT Rating=31,869
LH Batsman, LM Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, sublime
A defensive player with strong leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: superb
Batting: competent Concentration: strong
Bowling: feeble Consistency: respectable
Fielding: strong

Is there a coach for the team that trains people, like in hattrick? I have never bought a new player or coach so I might be wasting training by having a bad coach. I have nearly a million dollars saved up, so if I can possibly get a better trainer I'd like to. But I don't know how.

In fact if anyone wants to look at my team and help me out I'd appriciate it. I really don't know what I'm doing. I use the same lineup for every game without changing the orders just because it worked once so I stuck with it. Like I said I haven't bought any new players and expanded my stadium once, just barely. It's just different enough from hattrick that I don't want to mess with anything and screw up my team real bad, but I'd like to improve it at the same time if I ever want to get out of III.7 (which I have a chance at, I've won my first two league games so far somehow).

There is currently no equivalent to the HT coach.

Similarly, there is no HT equivalent to the degree of control we exercise over our grounds.

Zeek, unless you're saving up for a superstar you should spend that money. You could either buy 2 good finished players or spend it on a super trainee. Just this week I bought an 18 yo with proficient batting/concentration, respectable stamina, mediocre fielding. I don't know if the 850,000 I paid was a good price or not but he's going to be a tremendous batter in a couple seasons.
If you were to make a similar move you could easily free up at least 2 nets by taking nets from Edgehill and Angyemang who are too old to really benefit from training anyways. Also, what are your plans for Ross? I see that you are only training him in WK but he isn't your #1 WK. Improving his WK isn't really improving your team so you should probably sell him next pop or switch him to batting (assuming he has any batting skill).
About Manson, wait and see if he gets called up the the NT before doing anything. If he doesn't make it I would advise you to drop his nets as he pops in each skill and spend them on a younger player.

Oh, and hire more sports psychologists, they cause consistancy and concentration to pop quicker.

Ross is my #1 WK. But I was told Mason had a better chance at the national team so I'm training him in everything else as well as WK.

Here's Ross:

Runako Ross - 20 yo, BT Rating=20,602
LH Batsman, LM Bowler, strong batting form, strong bowling form, sublime
A cautious player with feeble leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: woeful Wicket Keeping: remarkable
Batting: feeble Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: woeful Consistency: respectable
Fielding: feeble

I don't claim to be an expert with these things but I think your team would be better off if you replace Ross with a batter and play Mason as WK.

I have my own training question... I have an 18 year old trainee getting a batting and fielding net. But his consistency has been popping as well and is now up to respectable. His bowling, however, is abysmal.

Considering his age and consistency, is it worth it for me to replace a fielding net with a bowling net?

No.

The fielding training effects both consistency and concentration. You need one for his batting obviously, but the other is a by-product of your training.

I assume he has a fairly healthy batting skill. But it would be a waste to devote even one bowling net to him. Abysmal is so low it is not worth it.
