Yeah i'm disappointed both being in the Group of Death.. dont give me that Group C crap, whoever barely managed to win E, gets to face Brazil, lovely.. I would rather have faced Brazil in the Group stages honestly and then not see them again till the finals...

But i also havent worked out where i'm going to stay. Looks like both G-Town and K-town are TINY.. and not many places to stay.. I was thinking of making a month long base in Frankfurt 2-3 hrs by rail from each USA game site.

If you wanted something even closer for G-Town check out Dusseldorf, 35-40 minutes by train or car.. and for K-Town check out Mannheim 45-60 minutes by rail/car..

Gelsenkirchen is the fourth largest city in Germany, much bigger than Dusseldorf. Kaiserslautern is in the middle of noware, but there is a lot in town. Plus it has the largest concentration of Americans outside of the US. You are fine to stary in both cities.

Gelsenkirchen is the 21st biggest German city with a population of about 280.000.
Düsseldorf is the 9th largest with about 570.000.

Just come stay in Berlin. There's like 40 of us and we are all gonna caravan by matches to the game.

Right Mikeymike?

I have relatives in cologne. Seems like a pretty good spot for all three matches. Would I be smart to book a hotel/hostel in or near the match city or should I just commute straight from cologne to the stadiums?

Well I thought about doing that but frankly with hostels I can't shake the feeling that the more complicated you make it, the more likely shĦt is to fall apart.
