re: Peter Tosh Peter Tosh's Complete Captured Live, an object lesson in filth... this site is more babylon than a commercial dread's praising of 'BM: Legend' as the greatest reggae album of all time. *two thumbs down*
Say track 5, Slap And Tickle three times into the mirror and Squeeze will appear behind you to take you away from all this miserable shite. Do it. It's your only hope - the track sounds like a cheap keyboard being played by a God-fearing christian fund raiser outside Tesco's throughout. Like the sort of hold music that loses customers not to your competitors but to the undertakers, track six, Another Nail In My Heart should not be played to the vulnerable. Or those with ears. Is That Love is like what rancid butter smells like, and I'm being generous there. In fact, I wish Squeeze had never been born.
If you want a site that actually has thought put into it, go to http://www.somethingawful.com/yourbandsucks/ I love Radiohead...he ripped them a new one and it was hilarious.
This completely computer-generated. I tried a number of artists as my favorite and phrases are repeating themselves. Basically, you enter an artist or album, they search a database for tracks, etc. and then just plug them into some canned phrases (a small number, in fact). When I put in Rubber Soul, it picked up the tribute, not the real thing. Or
Hmm, you've got me there. I've never heard of "insert band here" ... ... but I'm sure it's like my father trying to fart through a tuba. Great stuff!
Yeah, I typed in a few old school REM songs and it had no idea what I was talking about. Still funny though.
I though it was pretty funny, until I did a number of my favorite bands/artists. Then it was revealed that it picks one of the albums by that band/artist, spews out the same stuff ("This made my cat sick") from the same arrays, and dynamically selects from them. The site needs a bigger database of titles, and bigger arrays of ripping phrases, to be continually funny.
