France will probably be in the first pot along with Brazil, Germany, Mexico, Spain, England, Italy and Argentina.

This is not definite as far as I know, but it is as good estimate as to the actual pots...

Pot One: Brazil, Germany, Argentina, Italy, Spain, England, France, Mexico *.

Pot Two: Sweden, Ukraine, Holland, Poland, Portugal,
Switzerland, Czech Republic, Croatia.

Pot Three: Serbia & Montenegro, Togo, Paraguay, Ecuador, Ivory Coast, Angola, Tunisia, Ghana.

Pot Four: Trinidad and Tobago, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Japan, South Korea, USA, Costa Rica, Australia

Germany as hosts will be assigned to Group A and Brazil as holders will be assigned to Group F.

* Mexico could well be switched for Holland, altering the groups. Not confirmed however..

Lets just stay away from your mock draft Ganu....... Ivory Coast, S. Korea, and Czech Republic? Ouch.... C. Republic will be the team to avoid from pot 2, and Italy....

As stated in the link provided by our darling assistant sl7vk, France will be seeded in the 1st pot for Friday's draw in Leipzig.

Holland miss out! So the other teams to avoid aside from the Dutch, will be the Czechs and Portugal.

Pot 2:

Pot 3

* Croatia
* Czech Republic
* Netherlands
* Poland
* Portugal
* Sweden
* Switzerland

Special Pot:

* Serbia and Montegro

NB: Because Serbia and Montenegro are the lowest ranked of all the European nations they will placed in a special pot. However to avoid having three European teams in one group, they will be allocated to either Argentina's, Mexico's or Brazil's group.

Remember that Germany will be automatically given Group A because they are the hosts and Brazil as current holders shall be given Group F.

I'd rather not draw Holland or the Czech Rep out of pot 3, but this is not where the difference is going to be made--it's going to be made on pots 2 & 4: draw Angola and Trinidad and Tobago and you can consider yourself lucky; draw Paraguay and the US and you're in the Group of Death no matter what pot 3 side you get.

The South American squads don't scare me when the WC is in Europe.... The worst would be Ivory Coast in Pot 2 and South Korea in 4. Ivory Coast, much like Senegal, has a colonial history with France, and a lot to prove/gain from that mathup... Avoid!?!?!

Not me lol! Paraguay what an akward souvenir that 98' WC match... i thought we would never score a goal on that day till that 114' and Blanc's goal. In 2002 they did the same against Germany, no definitly i'd prefer we avoid them.Tunisia or Ivory Coast are good teams but i wouldn't be worried if we met them.
