Default Nizamettin Caliskan

I have heard that Nizamettin Caliskan has decided to quit the Turkish youth system and join the German youth program. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the article right now, but can anyone confirm if this is true?

I don't know too much about him, but from what I've read, he seems to be a big talent. Do you BVB fans think he will be a big contributer in the future?

big talent indeed.

It seems to be true, he wants to play for Germany. The article that states this is from Kicker, a believable source I hope

Kicker is one of the sources I believe about 99% of the time.

I would have thought that now that Sahin decided to play for Turkey and after seeing how he gets treated there that more players of Turkish origin would opt to play for Turkey, especially since he's also a Dortmuner like Nuri.

I believe it when I see it.

I believe Kicker. I read an interview once where Nizamettin already said, that it would be a very hard decision for him. And he wasn't sure yet for whom he should play but he considered both Turkey and Germany. 2 months after that interview, he started to play for the U19 of Turkey.

And now he seems to have changed his mind, which can only be good for our U19 because he's really a talented, young guy.

It's true. Sammy Caliskan will play for Germany

http://westline.de/fussball/bvb/index.php

BVB-Mittelfeldtalent Sammy Caliskan hat eine Einladung der türkischen U19 zum Länderspiel gegen Irland ausgeschlagen und sich entschieden, im Fall einer Anfrage künftig für den DFB aufzulaufen.

How many Turks have played for the NT anyways? Other than Scholl (who's half-Turkish of course), the only other one I can think of is Mustapha Dogan, who played some games during the Ribbeck era.

Apparently so. I'll keep the rest to myself. Don't wish to be red-carded.
