Default Pierre-Alan Frau gone in Jan. ?

I would favor a loan to a team like Lens rather than an outright sell. Any Ligue 1 team thats looking for an attacker should be interested. I would like for Nilmar to take his place next year but that wont happen because they would have to get rid of another non EU player.

this is a big subject on olweb boards right now. most want him sold outright. that's dumb. on the market he's worth just about the kind of money we don't need

a loan doesn't make sense to me because he's no more use to OL in a year or two than right now (actually less, because ben-a and ben-z aren't going to be in the nursery much longer), and nowhere he could go on loan would put him in the kind of showcase that would increase his sale price (i don't think corinthians need him).

that said, selling him means he's going to came back and haunt us at least twice a year, that man can play when he gets a chance.

here's where those saying being out of the league cup is a blessing in disguise are all wet. the two two domestic cups mean a dozen or so games for frau and others who need to play.

my hope is that houllier starts to rotate the 4-3-2-1 with the one being fred and the 4-4-2 and the two being carew and frau. jed said he was curious to see fred and carew play together, but from what i see fred can't play with anyone and john and PAF, once they start getting on the field together, they're gonna move in together, you'll see them in the rue de la république holding hands! it's a match made in heaven.

Lyon have 4 central-minded strikers at the moment (Carew, Fred, Frau & Wiltord). If Frau leaves in Jan. transfer window, we'll have to play all three competitions with just 3 striking options in our hands..

Offensive depth is a very important factor since we're aiming for multiple trophies. Frau isn't really needed right now, but he will be at some point in the near future.

He'll be wearing a Nancy shirt before it's all said and done. Mark my word.

Seems you may be getting your wish:

To Lens, on loan.
It's being reported everywhere, not quite confirmed but
he's leaving this week, apparently.

Both Caçapa and Juninho have stated that they would become French as a second nationality as soon as they could. After 5 years in France in 2006 they'll get their French passport at last.

Caçapa is completly "lyonnais" now: you can see him quite often enjoying Lyon good restaurants, or walking by the streets singing out loud french or franco-canadian songs.

As I stated in another thread, I saw Cacapa in the subway in Lyon during the summer of 2004.
