What the Hell FSW?!!
what is going on at FSW....
I tuned into my PPV match on sunday...
a huge derby game Liverpool v Everton...
and my commentators are Christian (8yrs old)Miles
and Nicky (im a common englishman) Webster..
at first I thought.. ok .. its a one-of maybe audio
problems... at one point the audio of the twi feed
came in and I heard Ian Darke....so Ok...Ill just
deal with these amateurs....
Then today.. I pop in the tape of the Tottenham
Man City game... and once again... Webster and
some Spanish guy....
WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING FSW!!!!
you have the TWI feeds... use them!... why are you
choosing amateur commentators that blab at the
mouth over commentators from the host nation that
have over 20-30 years of experience....
Give me a commentator at the grounds that knows
what the hell is going on...
I prefer British commentators, but ones that have
applied their trade and have experience and have
a grasp of the english language. Webster is
annoying... every time he mention the "pool" I
wanted to cringe.. It goes to show the naysayers that an english voice can be just as annoying
If this is what they are going to offer... I wont
get the PPV package next year...they are THAT
annoying... Id rather listen to the Internet
Broadcasts....
I know its slow during the holidays... but get them
to clean up the office instead of hitting the
commentary boothe.

Unbelievable! I actually had to turn the sound off. Today's match (ManCity:Spurs) was possibly the most annoying broadcast I've heard in a while. No, sorry, that's probably overstating it since there have been innumerable annoying matches on FSW. I remember trying to watch the Liverpool:FCBayern match a couple of years back when they had two announcers (the tiresome Bretos and some other dude) who apparently tired of actually doing play-by-play (admittedly, it was a boring match with nobody in the stands in Monaco but they were still horrible). Plus, there is just about every Bundesliga match when I have to totally block out Hopkins' voice from my ears. I can't even remember anything that's said in those matches anymore.
Today's was brutal. I missed the first half and when I turned it on, the Latin guy (I forget his name and where he's from) was trying to explain something in a very halting English while the play kept moving on and on...and on. For a moment, I was wondering if I had the wrong audio selected. From what I heard, the English dude seemed to know what he was doing but his voice was so weak I had to stop listening. I can't believe they've done this and ESPECIALLY to the PPV matches. That's deplorable. I can't imagine the original voices being that cost prohibitive. It took me a LONG time to get over the loss of the original voice of the Bundesliga (whose name escapes me at the moment...Toby Charles???) and I can't imagine getting over this...EVER.

If this is what it takes to free up funds for better matches(La Liga) then I can deal with it.
Boo Hoo. Call your own matches.

"Boo Hoo"??? What're you...9? And, by the way, I do call my own matches and have been in the biz for over 20 years, so, nah-nah-na-nah-nah. These guys are terrible. Plus, as I wondered before, how much money can they be saving???

I clicked on this thread expecting a fantastic rant about Fox Sports World, and my ranters were Cantona and Fohlen61! At first I thought, ok, maybe the thread will just get better, but no! And talk about Amateurs! Geez, Cantona only has about 200 posts, and Fohlen61 only has 3! If this is what passes for quality rants these days, I don't think I'll be getting the Premium membership!
I know it's slow during the holidays... but get them
to clean up the office instead of hitting the
bigsoccer boards.

How does hiring two people to talk over commentary (already provided by the League) save money?

They were already on the payroll. Tell them to do 4 games a week instead of 3.

What the Hell FSW?!!
FSW shows us Americans more EPL than they show in England, so you were lucky to be watching the game to begin with. But you do have a point about the Spanish guy for the ManCity/Spurs game. I swear he kept saying Tottingham. But I sat throught it and was annoyed and cringed every time I heard him say Tottingham, then I thanked FSW for showing the match.
Turn down the volume of it bothers you that much.
