Default New Faces at Bellfield?

Is Moyes looking to bring anyone in over the FIFA transfer window, granted everything would have to be a nominal fee or a Bosman free. But I did manage to see there were some trialists at the club, the Senegalses player in France, and I believe some Morroccan player who was with us in preseason training.

The most likely signing appears to be Ibrahim Said, a right-sided defender from Egypt. He was on trial with Everton during the summer for 2 weeks, and Moyes has been talking with his agent recently about a January move.

The Sengalese player, Pape Sarr, is a d-mid who's currently out of favor with his club and who is looking to revive his career at Everton.

What about Colin Healey? I thought we were making a move to try and snap him up come the transfer window?

Weve signed Espen Baardsen as Gerrard and Simonsen are injured.. so now we have 2 fit goalkeepers!

Also Ibrahim Said looks like coming to Everton, and talks between his club and Everton are at an advanced stage.

GO the toffs.. and Liverpool are pathetic. The multi million dollar group of rejects.

Houllier.. u r Evertons favourite manager

He's certainly a possibility, too, although the last reports haven't been especially positive.

Moyes said the following a week ago:

"Colin is a player we are interested in, but I have seen reports saying we are about to pay £300,000 for his services which is completely incorrect.

"I have had one telephone conversation with his agent and that is it."

True, I read that as well...

but if we take Said on loan for a few months, don't you think we'll have too many competitions for the centre back spot...i know he can also play as a right sided full back, but Hibbo has been fantastic up to this point...

If Said is in, then there's definitely no place for Li Weifeng.

Said should be a pretty solid player. He's supposed to be the best young player in Eygpt.

Him or Ajax's Mido, to be sure.

It's probably better to have a few too many options at the back than too few, so I'd be all for bringing him in.

Looks like a done deal.

As Everton are the only Prem. team I usually care to watch, I'm going to enjoy watching them even more now...
