FM05 Achievements
With FM06 drawing closer (couple of weeks here, anyways), I think some of you guys should post a few paragraphs, or just even a list, documenting your finest moments within the game as it is always an interesting read.
I have a few but will wait to see if anyone else posts anything as this seems to be a quiet forum ( )

Re: FM05 Achievements
I think only one of my achievements really deserves this page: my current game, in which I have taken Tottenham to two consecutive doubles, losing in the Champions League final in the second season.
I made a fantastic diamond formation, where Kanoute and Defoe play just ahead of Robbie Keane, and Ricketts cuts in from the left. Sean Davis holds the midfield, Simon Davies on the right. I actually signed Bierofka with all of my extravagant 3m budget at the start of the game, but Davies was fantastic and held down the spot. I was winning all home games 3-0 or 4-0, but the formation was proving quite weak in away games.
In the January transfer window the solution came: Freddy Guarin arrived at the club and is now in superb form, he plays next to Davis in all away games in a tight 4-5-1. Jermain Defoe plays lone striker, which surprisingly works fantastic.
Subsequent signings include Sebastian Deisler, Dwight Pezzarossi, Nigel de Jong, Dede, Lebohang Mokoena, Andres Iniesta and Hernan Crespo, all for a grand total of 12 million pounds. Superb working of the transfer market if I may say so myself.
Defoe is currently refusing to sign a new deal (holding out for 110,000 a week which is just not going to happen with this board), but he's contracted for 3 years yet, and is performing superbly and with 'superb' morale, despite his dissapointment at not being offered an attractive deal.
So I'm timing Fernando Torres on a free transfer at the end of the coming season, as he's 'considering his options' and has rejected 2 contract offers already. To top it all off, Athletico Madrid just avoided relegation, and being in dire financial state I doubt they'll be as lucky in the next season. I'd happilly sell Defoe for his current value of 33m, picking up Torres for free and a superb partner for him with the change. With that, I can only imagine what's waiting for me in coming seasons.
I think with this game, I hit the nail on the head with tactics. It's superbly enjoyable. Long live FM.
