Default France v Suisse (8th Oct) - WC Qualifying [R]

And here si the squad selected by "Everybody Loves" Raymond Domenech

Goalkeepers:

Grégory Coupet (Olympique Lyonnais)
Mickaël Landreau (Nantes)

Defenders:

Jean-Alain Boumsong (Newcastle United)
William Gallas (Chelsea)
Gaël Givet (AS Monaco)
Anthony Réveillère (Olympique Lyonnais)
Willy Sagnol (Bayern Munich)
Sébastien Squillaci (AS Monaco)
Lillian Thuram (Juventus)

Midfielders:

Vikash Dhorasoo (Paris SG)
Alou Diarra (RC Lens)
Claude Makalélé (Chelsea)
Patrick Vieira (Juventus)
Zinédine Zidane (Real Madrid)

Attackers:

Djibril Cissé (Liverpool)
Ludovic Guily (Barcelona)
Sidney Govou (Olympique Lyonnais)
Peguy Luyindula (Auxerre)
David Trezeguet (Juventus)
Sylvain Wiltord (Olympique Lyonnais)

No Ismael of Bayern Munich, wtf? Come on, lets stop pissing about with Boumsong.

For Switzerland, I would play a far more defensive formation with one up top like against Ireland.

Coupet

Sagnol----Thurman----Givet----Gallas

Makelele----Vieira

Dhorasoo-----Zizou----Malouda

Trezeguet

And for Cyprus;

I would drop both Vikash and Florent for Guily and Cisse. And go with a Trez-Cisse partnerhsip up front with Zizou, Guily and Vieria behind, with Makelele protecting the back.

Code:
 1.Switzerland 8 4 4 0 17- 6 16
 2.France 8 4 4 0 9- 1 16
 3.Israel 9 3 6 0 13- 9 15
 4.Ireland 8 3 4 1 11- 5 13
 5.Cyprus 8 1 1 6 8-15 4
 6.Faroe Islands 9 0 1 8 3-25 1
Games:

8th Oct
Cyprus v Ireland
Israel v Faroe Islands
Switzerland v France

12th Oct
Ireland v Switzerland
France v Cyrpus

I think a draw would suit France in Bern, as Switzerland winning in Ireland once again is a tough call. France should thrash Cyprus at home.

Another butt-tightening game... ( | )

I think France is going to play to snatch a win but not at any cost of course.

Switzerland will probably play like that (4-1-2-1-2):

--------------Zuberbuhler

Degen - Senderos - Muller - Magnin

------------Vogel

---------Barnetta - Wicky

----------- Cabanas

-------Vonlanthen - Frei

Nice to see Reveilliere get the call after his strong showings for Les Gones.

This game against the Swiss is going to be intense. I'm confident that we can get a draw and perhaps a win in Switzerland, and quite confident we can handle Cyprus at home

Well, Trezeguet just walked off the Juve v Inter match w/ what looks like a groin strain...

Definitely a muscular problem to his very upper left thigh.

not good if we are missing our 2 best strikers. i mean all we need is a tie but it would be nice to have some firepower for the sake of the intimidation factor. well, i hope it isnt serious. Trez must be itching to play for France and I'll bet he'll score if he is healthy.

Thuram? Thats even more serious if he's injured.
