Exclamation SAN JOSE or KANSAS CITY To MOVE?

Hey fellas, btn SJ and KC who doyou think should be relocated?.Personally. KC should, especially due to their attendance compared to SJ's. The fans at Spartan are always electric.. at Arrowhead, it's kind of dull..

Well I'm biased as a Quakes fan but I think you are right! Attendance has been pretty good as of late. I doubt they will draw this much in TEXAS!
I still fail to realize AEG's position on the Quakes....Here is a team whom Uncle Phil wants dropped off the map or sold into oblivion or broken up or what have you....Yet they win 2 MLS CUPS and are having another thriller year and possibly another CUP. Their performance speaks for itself! I think right now, you couldn't find many teams playing the level of soccer that SJ is playing! I've yet to see New England play this year but I don't think they are playing as good as the Quakes are! KC had Preki but he is done! He even said playing in front of 8-9k is not as good as playing front of 13k in Spartan!

LA seems to get whomever they want! Jorge Campos, Carlos Hermosillo, Luis Hernandez, Cienfuegos & now Landon Donovan....I mean come on!
On paper alone , with that group of stars, they should have won more than only 1 MLS cup!
I forgot to mention Paul Caligiuri & if he wanted to play Jurgen Klinssman...
Not only that, they get a brand new HDC stadium!
Why should they get all the breaks?
Its not fair!
If this is a single entity league then everything should be equal however, it is not!
LA is too expensive overrated and to tell you the truth , I think they are bunch of spoiled brats....
MOVE KC AND LEAVE OUR QUAKES ALONE!

Why should San Jose have to move? I mean they have always had a good soccer history here in San Jose and even though the Galaxy doesn't want to admit it, they have won more MLS CUPS that LA has.
If AEG got behind this San Jose team like they do with the Galaxy and having them get a new stadium and what have you, there is no telling what this franchise would do. They are playing exceptional soccer and they look better than I've ever seen anyone play in the MLS. LA had Sigi, and its still beyond me why they would fire him and get Ralph Sampson especially while he was in 1st place. I mean even though Ralph is a Santa Clara guy , I've always thought he had all the breaks. He got to coach the national team, Costa Rica, then the Galaxy? What has he really ever done to prove himself other than winning a co-ncaa with Santa Clara u in 1990?
I'm sure if SJ had a better stadium or if SJSU would share more of the revenue with the club, San Jose would be a very classy organization.

Wow... this isn't a conversation we've ever had on the boards before.

The most reliable information from those in the know has both teams staying put, so let's just let this whole thing go.

Aguilas USA de Houston will be part of MLS in 2006, whether AEG or Televisa owns it. San Jose Earthquakes are toast. AEG will finally escape from San Jose, "the Detroit of the 21st Century." AEG is negotiating NOW for a stadium deal in Houston.

The KC Wizards will be sold by Hunt Sports Group to another outfit. Whether the Wizards will become Tigres USA de Dallas (2nd tenant in Frisco) or something else is anyone's guess at this point.

The Quakes have ZERO future in San Jose.

AEG knows it.

Everyone else other than those diehard Quakes season ticket holders know it.

San Jose is the "Detroit of the 21st Century", with a stagnant economy, outrageous cost of living, and absurd cost of real estate.

There is also no guarantee that the "next big thing" will take place in Silicon Valley instead of Bangalore or Beijing.

AEG is actively negotiating a stadium lease in Houston NOW. AEG won't wait for Televisa to make up its mind before getting the Quakes out of San Jose into Houston.

Remember that AEG is in the real estate business, not the sports business. MLS is just a convenient vehicle for AEG to get public funding to build concert venues masquerading as stadiums.

AEG decided a long time ago that Silicon Valley was NOT the place to invest in a concert venue.

Do you really know this for a fact or are you talking on emotion? I hope you are wrong about the Quakes future.
I do however agree with you, the area's real estate is crazy, the cost of living is way too high, and the economy is lousy.....
