Of course he can keep it going. Physically he has the qualities of a world class striker. Whether he ends this season on 15-20 goals or more or just 5 goals is entirely up to him, if he can continue enjoying himself he can continue scoring.

I'd be shocked i really would. Carew has the physical attributes to be a very good striker but technically he lacks soo much.

I disagree. Carew has showed on several occasions how good technique he really has.

He has a good technique, definitely. i think a lot of people have been surprised in France because nobody expected anything from him, but his debut has been impressive (I think he's scored 8 goals in 4 matches !).

I guess we will just have to disagree on this. I'll admit i haven't seen his goal this season but i watched him play in a couple of preseason games for Lyon and he still looked to have the same faults in his game as before. His control was still poor and his finishing was very erratic. He kept making basic mistakes.

If he has started the season well, then i am pleased for him, i always remember how he supported Henry and Vieira when his own Valencia fans were racially abusing them. I just doubt that he has improved to such an extent that people would considered his technical skills 'good'. He is still work in progress IMO.

I have to disagree too. He has excellent ball control. He accelerates like nobody's business. His heading technique is wonderful. I dont see how anyone can think that he's not a very capable player and by his current form he's an amazing player.

Case in point: Against Auxerre he scored a "perfect hat-trick". Left foot. Right foot. Header.

Beat that.

Please ignore bruiser. He thinks Carew is the 7th best striker in the world, despite several people pointing out his rather pathetic goal scoring record. After all, the fundamental role of a striker is to score goals. Take a look at bruiser's location, that sums everything up.

Like when he played for Roma and scored 6 goals in 25
appearances?

Please. His technique is average.

As Ibrahimovic said: "What Carew can do with a football,
I can do with an orange." And at 24 years old there is no
chance his skill set will radically change . . .
