Man C- Man U [r]
That was an amazing game. Congrats to the blues. I cannot imagine how high Keegan is right now. And the egg on the face of Ferguson..so sweet...gives GNev the band only for his captain to blow it.
Anelka and the Goat could have each had a hat trick, and even though the game was pretty even in the first half, Man City played with a determination not matched by thier counterparts.
Terrible error by Neville on the first Goater goal, that ball was sure to roll out for a harmless GK and instead he keeps it in, gives it away, and a neat finish takes it past Barthez for the 2-1 lead. Can't believe Anelka hit that 1v1 right at Barthez when he had the left post open, but no complaints today from him I'm sure. Fitting way to end the derby at Maine road.

What a game that was, it really kept my nerves on edge. It was nice to se the Goat get some goals.
United's defense still looks like it's in shambles and it's a wonderful thing to see.

I try to explain to my friends why I get up at 6:50 am on a Saturday to watch two teams I don't follow play each other, and they never get it. Goater's goal off of Neville was total vindication. It was total Bill Buckner time, soccer style. Man City brought the game to a more talented team, and won going away. Best part is I know a guy who is a big Man U fan and asked me to tape the game for him, saying "yeah, it's always nice to see them beat those buggers" or something like that. Indeed. Man C does have a shaky D, but the offense is pretty capable. Good luck the rest of the season. If there is anyway you can finish ahead of Man U in the table...first round is on me.

Congarts to Man City. This was the second Man city game I've watched this season and in both games I was especially amazed by Berkovic's performance. The guy makes the most fantastic passes throughout the whole game, very impressive.
Good job Man City.

If anybody has a tape of this game, please PM me. I don't have FSW; I was busy Saturday morning, and I would dearly love to see these. I've met a couple of people who were at 5-1 game in 89, and I think this is as close as I'll ever get to that.
