My best batsman is strong, and then I've got some proficient and competents to round out the 5. However, the one that's putting up the best stats is beyond training age (26) which sucks.

Aside from Seargeant (who's already my best batsman on stats, aside from possible stamina issues), I've got problems with putting together both batting and concentration.

his form's only crap cuz he never gets to play... he's a spinner and I've got a green pitch... they key (for me) is to play great batsmen 1-5 and then have handy players from 6-8 who can all do fairly well w/ the bat and the ball (it just so happens my guy at 8 is my best bowler) and to tweak my orders to maximize the potential of the players, my batting platform is set by 1-5 and even if I lose a couple quick wickets, I've still got some capability so I wont ever get bowled out for like 200. You see, unless a team has 5 top class bowlers - either the top half of my lineup faces mostly crap bowling which will lead to a total of over 300 and the bottom half faces great bowlers who will clean up the tail easily, or the top half faces the good bowlers and should come out relatively even w/ me looking to score in the 250 range and when the crap bowlers come out, my less accomplished batsmen have a chance to make some bonus runs and get me over 275.

Bowling is much easier... the best batsmen will ALWAYS bat first to give them the most time at the crease and my aim is to remove them, even if it costs me some runs, as soon as possible. So I have my best bowler bowl attacking (to get early wickets which he almost always does) which paves the way for my not so good bowlers to face the lesser batsmen of the other team.

Ugh... I haven't arranged a friendly yet. All of a sudden, everything has collapsed for me, and I'm just trying to hold onto second.
