Default NatWest Challenge [r]

oh brother, England take game 1 by 9 wickets!

England 221 for 1 beat Australia 219 for 7

report

Englands confidence boosted

well, boy have thoughts and opinions changed from the beginning of the tour and now. will game three of this series even be the decider? Hussey has been doing great for the aussies, by far i think he has been the standout player for the team.

game 2 saturday, final game 3 on tuesday (hopefully i will be able to watch it).

We're just building up the Pom's confidence to make beating them in the Ashes even sweeter then it would normally be.

That's what I'm worried about.

Yesterday was a total demolition job, but in fairness to trhe Aussies the two sides were playing in completely different conditions.

still, any side that get taken apart by collingwood, under any conditions, has to be asking questions of itself.

p.s. ponting fails again. bag of rubbish.

watch him get a double hundred in the first test now i've said that.

encouragingly, gillespie is still being awful and showing no signs of improvement.

the 'rest' mentioned was to be for dizzy, not ricky. Gillespie did play, and bowled 7 overs, giving up 42 runs.

-fantastic by the captain to smash 111.

-Lee was great bowling taking 5-41

although gillespie is still cack.

unless he picks up some wickets soon his test place has to be under threat.

Totally agree, except I think he's gone (at least for the 1st Test).
