Default Vfl Bochum thread [R]

Too bad VfL you and Wosz have to go back down for a season, but its ok because you will be promoted right away and then go right back into the UEFA CUP, and then hopefully draw AJAX in the first round and send them home crying... which thats what you should've done in 1997... but hey its all good guys, Wosz is back and will lead you back up there... all you need is a striker, one that doesnt mess up games for you and scores a goal or two a game. everything else will come your way.

That's a little over-optimistic, don't you think???

How does one support two different Ruhr-area teams?
That's like a Barcelona and Real Madrid fan.

I think he can because I believe Bochum and Dortmund share a common enemy. Schalke 04.

Borussia Dortmund and VfL Bochum aren't "friends", but I believe they are "good neighbors".

Jonam???

Oh. I was under the impression that it's every team for itself in the "Ruhrpott".
That's what it's called isn't it?

Isn't "Ruhrpott" what the locals call it? "Ruhrgebiet" is the more common usage across Germany, I think.

Hmm, I always say Ruhrpott but maybe that's because part of my family lives in Gelsenkirchen.

At least none of the big clubs in the Ruhr Valley (Ruhrgebiet, Ruhrpott, Pott, Revier) is loved by the other club's fans. Maybe Bochum supporters hate Schlacke more than BVB but in this special case it looks like "XIIGermanIIX" is from Bochum (before he moved to Texas) but also supports BVB.
