Default Rooney! Rooney! Rooney!

Way to go Wayne Rooney!! The youngest ever Premiership scorer!

After today's match vs Arsenal, Arsene Wenger said of Rooney: "He is the biggest England talent I've seen since I arrived in England...There has certainly not been an under 20 player as good as him since I became a manager here. You do not need to be an expert to see that he is a special talent, very special."

Reportedly Rooney will be signing a 10,000 pound/week contract with Everton on Thursday when he turns 17. But with Wenger, Ferguson, and the other managers of big-money EPL clubs singing Rooney's praises, will Everton be able to keep Wayne on their team for much longer?

The sad thig about this win is it puts Liverpool top. But to end Arsenals Win streak has more justice to it. Besides Liverpool wont be on top After they leave Goodison..
40 points at home looks more of a reality now doesn't it.
Good Job Everton!!!!

11 points from 15 is pretty incredible. I never thought I would hear myself say the words "Fortress" and Goodison" in the same sentence.

Nice one Toffees.

That Rooney looks like he may even live up to the hype - great control, turn and shot. Got to admire talent like that.

Off to spit feathers, and drink more. Bollocks.

Ive been sceptical of youngsters in the past (granted, not one this young) and I must say I have an awful track-record with it. Owen and Beckham to name but two. About as accurate as Alan Hansen........"You wont win anything with kids." Ha

Wayne Rooney is looking excellent. From what I saw earlier he won a game that was almost dead, if anyone was gonna win it would have been Arsenal. Not only did he win it, he scored an amazing goal. His first touch took the defence right out. You can see from one angle the 4 guys (including Englands own Sol Shamble) we're back-tracking and it vexed the lot. Then he did something even the mighty Macedonia did which is beat Seaman from way out of the box. Ron Atkinson said that no Goalie in the world would have stopped it.

Nice one he's getting a contract, they dont want (or need) another Francis Jeffers situation.
He looks better than him already anyways.

I’ll bet even your lips were puckered after this sour comment Paul…
Good win for the blues though…Amazing how many supporters a good game will bring out. It's been quiet around here.
Is this kid as good as they say…??? I only hear good things about him. Although I did hear some fool compare him with Donovan…!!!

I think it was meant as a compliment…

I thought that comment would bring you out of the shadows.. Yes it hurt me to know we were the team that put you top.But with every downer there is an up side, Liverpool will have to come a calling.
Rooney has looked great comming off the bench and I thyink for now this is a good spot for him. Even in our loss to Man U when he comes in off the bench he has a sudden spark to the offence that can give Everton that push for a late winner. Sort of like Fairclough did for Liverpool many years ago though Rooney is a far greater player than Davie could ever have been. Moyes is using him wisely as not to get him burned out at a young age.
If he stays healthy you will see him in The England squad soon enough.

Thanks for the insight. I noticed that the game is on today (FSW) so I’ll record it and watch it tonight. Our U15 team have a game at the same time. They’re doing well but we have to play up next year if we can, we’ve been playing the goalie and backs up front in the second half and last week we still won 10 – 1. Despite their team trying to trip us with their white canes…!!!

So, after a good season with Everton, Rooney should be on the block to pay off Moyes bills….Hmmm. He’d look good in red..!
