Meaning the standings may not come out until Monday/Tuesday night. Picks will be due by 9am Eastern Time the day of the weeks first match. No points will be lost for incorrect or missed guesses. Players can come and go at any time. Scoring will be as follows: Predict Correct Outcome (win/draw):3 points Predict Correct Road Winner:1 point Predict Correct Clean Sheet:1 point Predict Correct Winning Margin:1 point* Correctly Predict Blow-Out:2 points + 1 point per correctly predicted gd beyond 2.*# Predict Exact Scoreline: 5 points All points are cumulative. *Margin only counts for games with a winner. Must correctly predict winner to earn margin or blow-out points. #Blow-outs are anything with a goal differential 2 or greater. Using the Seattle v Columbus match from last year as an example. Seattle 6 Columbus 2 Predictions made as follows would earn the following blow-out bonuses. Seattle 4 Columbus 2 would earn 2 blowout points and no bonus. Seattle 3 Columbus 0 would earn 2 blowout points and 1 bonus point. Seattle 5 Columbus 1 would earn 2 blowout points and 2 bonus points. Seattle 5 Columbus 0 would earn 2 blowout points and 2 bonus points. These are the proposed rules for this season. This is very late to start this or change so I propose we give until Wednesday to accept these rules for this year, leaving two days to make picks for week 1.
