How jealous is the hierarchy of CONCACAF. Seems like they cannot handle Mexico striking out and doing anything on their own. Do they believe that the Mexican clubs will take the CONCACAF champions league more seriously if they can not play in the Copa Libertadores.

I see it the other way.
MLS teams can qualify if they don't have to pre-qualify. And he's right, any team that placed second does not deserve to have to play pre-qualifying games.
here's to Mexico kick some SA butt.

Maybe this is to avoid another KC-Moriella Champions Cup situation. No Liberadores qualifiers = more open dates for CONCACAF Champions Cup games.

The MLS does not have a contract with CONMEBOl so their chance to qualify is a moot point.

CONCACAF threatens to pull Mexico out of Copa Libertadores
The TFC's bad intentions are obvious. Especially considering the fact that the Mexican Clubs ardous pre qualifying is set by the MFL. The Conmebol never really set a pre qualifying standard for the MFL clubs. The TFC allready tried to take away Mexicos permanent guest status in Copa America and failed and now this. Most likely they are trying to muscle some money from the MFL...

It sounds like CONCACRAP wants direct qualifyers from Mexico. It may be the MFL who wants the qualifing systems so they can make the money off of it.. For once I see some logic in what Blazer wants. Mexican clubs have shown they are as good as any club in South America and they should be treated as such.
