I remember seeing on the internet people figuring out in baseball, who was the last player to draw a walk as the season progresses. I thought it would be interesting to see who is the last player to never miss a minute during this MLS season, and to follow it with a thread. There could very well be more than one player to accomplish this. Last year, there were four. However, with the return to a 32 game season, it could be harder to achieve. Here's a list of the players who did this in each MLS season: 2004-Joe Cannon, Jim Curtin, Richard Mulrooney, Steve Ralston 2003-Tony Meola 2002-Nick Rimando 2001-*Scott Garlick, Tim Howard, Steve Jolley, Zach Thornton, Kerry Zavagnin 2000-Joseph Addo, Nick Garcia, Scott Garlick, Peter Vermes 1999-Peter Vermes 1998-none 1997-Mike Burns 1996-Preki, Steve Trittschuh * Scott Garlick was traded from Tampa Bay to Colorado. I believe he played every minute that he was available for between both teams. Somebody let me know if that's not the case. 2005 Candidates (after two weeks) Chris Armas CJ Brown Jim Curtin Kelly Gray Ivan Guerrero Justin Mapp Hector Cuadros Brad Guzan Ezra Hendrickson Ramon Ramirez Matt Taylor Edson Buddle Jon Busch Simon Elliot Chad Marshall Kyle Martino Danny Szetela Nat Borchers Joe Cannon Hunter Freeman Wolde Harris Chris Henderson Ritchie Kotschau Guy Melamed Scott Garlick Clarence Goodson Eddie Johnson Richard Mulrooney Ronnie O'Brien Phillip Salyer Carey Talley Greg Vanney Dave Wagenfuhr Bobby Boswell Brian Carroll Joshua Gros Jaime Moreno Ben Olsen Mike Petke Nick Rimando Davy Arnaud Jose Burciaga Jr. Jimmy Conrad Nick Garcia Diego Gutierrez Bo Oshoniyi Sasha Victorine Josh Wolff Kerry Zavagnin Chris Albright Todd Dunivant Kevin Hartman Tyrone Marshall Guillermo Ramirez Peter Vagenas Jeff Agoos Michael Bradley Eddie Gaven Amado Guevara Chris Leitch Mark Lisi Carlos Mendes Jeff Parke Zach Wells John Wolyniec Clint Dempsey Jay Heaps Shalrie Joseph Pat Noonan Michael Parkhurst Steve Ralston Matt Reis Taylor Twellman Nelson Akwari DJ Countess Brian Kamler Jason Kreis Clint Mathis Rusty Pierce Eddie Pope Wade Barrett Brad Davis Troy Dayak Pat Onstad Danny O'Rouke Craig Waibel
Neat idea, scary, but I wouldn't bother with keepers - their job is very different, and they sort of take the fun out of the competition, just sitting there. Breaking it down by position, we've had 7 goalkeepers, 8 defenders, and 4 midfielders (no forwards) play an entire season.

Ramon Ramirez, Clint Mathis, Rusty Pierce, Joshua Gros, Taylor Twellman, Diego Gutierrez off the list after tonight, bringing us down to 46. DJ Countess is an interesting situation, as he left the game after all three subs had been used. I figured this might come into play. I think I'll leave him on the list for now as he was not techinically subsituted. 2005 Candidates Jim Curtin Ivan Guerrero Hector Cuadros Brad Guzan Ezra Hendrickson Edson Buddle Jon Busch Simon Elliot Chad Marshall Nat Borchers Joe Cannon Ritchie Kotschau Scott Garlick Eddie Johnson Richard Mulrooney Ronnie O'Brien Greg Vanney Bobby Boswell Mike Petke Davy Arnaud Jose Burciaga Jr. Jimmy Conrad Nick Garcia Bo Oshoniyi Josh Wolff Todd Dunivant Kevin Hartman Tyrone Marshall Guillermo Ramirez Peter Vagenas Michael Bradley Amado Guevara Chris Leitch Carlos Mendes Zach Wells Clint Dempsey Jay Heaps Shalrie Joseph Pat Noonan Michael Parkhurst Matt Reis DJ Countess Jason Kreis Troy Dayak Pat Onstad Danny O'Rouke

This is akin to a death watch now, since only injury will take most of these names off the list. Of course, Noonan will be gone due to international duty this week.
No changes from CHV-KC. In addition to Noonan, Tyrone Marshall will play for Jamaica in a friendly Saturday, and will be off the list then as well.
In addition to the guys on national team duty (Pat Noonan and Tyrone Marshall), Ivan Guerrero was subbed off. The Fire are the second team to be totally wiped out. 20 players left (7 goalkeepers) 2005 Candidates Ezra Hendrickson Simon Elliot Chad Marshall Nat Borchers Joe Cannon Scott Garlick Bobby Boswell Jose Burciaga Jr. Jimmy Conrad Nick Garcia Bo Oshoniyi Todd Dunivant Kevin Hartman Amado Guevara Chris Leitch Zach Wells Jay Heaps Michael Parkhurst Matt Reis Pat Onstad
