Not if you heard him talking about it. He called it 'flattering', but the possibility of it shortening his cricket career he dismissed out of hand.

If it happens at all, it'll only be after Cricket Australia decide they no longer want him on contract. Cricketers finish up in their mid-to-late 30s, wheras hitters in baseball often play well into their 40s. But with zero experience in the sport, I think the prospect's frankly laughable.

I can't see Adam Gilchrist going over to America to play Baseball, not even after his cricket career finishes.

I think learning to wear one glove rather than two could be a sticking point

You mean, learning to wear a grocery bag to one hand rather than two gloves?

Yeah, and having to wear what can only be described as pin-striped plus fours rather than whites.

There are two Pakistani guys who i reckon could've made it at Baseball - Abdul Razzaq and Shahid Afridi.

BTW, How fast can the fastest pitcher pitch the ball in Baseball?

I think i heard somewhere that Randy Johnson has pitched a ball at about a ton. Most fast balls about 85-90 mph methinks. Curve balls, sliders and the like considerably slower, as its placement and fooling the batter, rather than power.

So pretty much exactly the same as International fast bowlers in Cricket.
