OK, there's obviously something missing from the following article.

What the heck is going on out there in California?

(then again, years ago we all thought Cali was crazy for banning smoking and eating raw fish...)

Dude, really fat men don't get laid much anyway.

After we explain that 'getting laid' is not the same as 'jerking off to pix of Ann Coulter.'

You realize of course that while the state set money aside ofr it, it was the City of San Francisco that actually runs the program (although the article states that the state is considering a state wide program).

And once the pro-lifers start complaining, what is the over/under on someone posting that the silly religious people need to stay out?

How much do you have to be overweight to qualify?
I'll pound some Big Macs for a couple weeks for a free snip.

Yeah, because obesity is a genetic disease. Unbelievable.

Actually there is a genetic component to it.

Some people are genetically more susceptible to it than others (and some are less susceptible, you know the people that eat McDonald's 4 meals a day, sit on their ass all day, and still look like they just walked out of a Victoria's Secret catalog or the set of Troy), but that's far from the same thing as it being caused by genetics.

For most of human history, the tendency to store fat conferred a survival advantage.

That's what I intended to post !! OK, ladies first... ;)

So 'good' genes, 'bad' genes, that's really relative...The skinny would have been the first to die...

These explain why some people get hungrier than others. It doesn't explain why a lot of these same people fill their grocery carts with frozen pizzas, tubs of ice cream, instant breaded fish sticks, cases of soda, boxes of mac and cheese, apple juice, Wonder Bread, Pop Tarts, cookies, ten pounds of ground beef, pre-made chicken from the deli, Frosted Flakes, a big bag of frozen pork chops, and, oh, some bananas--you know, for health.

Seriously, if you look in the carts of your peers in the grocery store, it demonstrates why I can't stand it when people blame genetics for obesity.

(I also wonder whether a person's genes mutate slightly as they gain weight. Person I know who have lost weight and kept it off through portion control have said that, after a while, their stomachs "shrink" and they feel full on a lot less food.)

Yesterday afternoon, while I was walking our dog, I saw a chubby dad walking down the street with his fat teenage daughter and even fatter teenage son. They were eating donuts. The son also had some kind of coffee drink or soft drink. The kid had big ol' man-boobs. Quite a favor your doing for your kids there, pops. When they're being ridiculed in the locker room, they'll be able to take comfort in knowing that they recently enjoyed some delicious donuts an hour or two before dinner time--but the man-boobs, of course, are genetic.

The question is whether the victims' families will be enterprising enough to sue both the gun manufacturer and Dunkin' Donuts.

Let's hope he gets snipped. What if--God forbid!--he knocks up some young Mexican-American girl while visiting a US army base in Germany? The Yanks Abroad forum would REALLY be insufferable then!

Well that does help to weed out the bad genes, in a gruesome sort of way.
