good game.... Alajuela played with a "B" team (without the nat'l team players), KC with a similar lineup than the one they used against saprissa.
    Good luck!

Three things I learned from that match report:

    1) KZ is on the Mexico roster
    2) Josh Wolff is on the Mexico roster (the Bruce loves to put Josh in against Mexico... he eats those guys alive)
    3) Scott Sealy has the potential to have a monster year because of his contrast in style from Wolff and Arnaud, who are essentially the same type of player.

Nice. So, the "B" teams are apparently racking up goals. Giving up 3 is unacceptable, period. Never heard of Carmelita, without the 1-0 win KC will have been throughly dominated in it's last 2 roadies. To win a division you must earn roughly 40% of road points.

Poor quotes from Bob also - the continued refrain of, "we're not sharp"...no kidding.

Preki in and 3 let in, might not be a coincidence. Early returns are that KC will struggle to win a shootout and struggle to win a tight game. Thank goodness COL and their middling "O" is first up.

    OK, I'm done.

the only positive thing about losing the cup last year because bo gave up three goals is this ... bob proved once again that he has some major stones in not going with tony in that game. however, his stones screwed us in that game.

i'm hoping to see his stones redeem themselves by either asking cj to trade wolff before he gets hurt, or else bench him outright for not earning his league max (which would hopefully force cj to trade him then). bob, your stones can get 'er done!

my outside theory is that wolff got the team mvp last year because arnaud did not yet have a long-term deal. at that time the team was facing the potential loss of tony, preki, kz, nick, jose ... so they wanted to promote one of their big name players. the wolff/arnaud combo is pretty to watch, but as last season wore on it was becoming less and less frequent. arnaud is obviously the guy to keep, and if this sealy kid has any game then we desperately need a guy who can hold the ball and convert a 1on1 with the keeper at least occasionally. something tells me that if we had that max slot available even the wiz front office could track down an SI attacking mid, whether we're leaving town or not.

without seeing the game, my guess is that missing kz had a lot more to do with it. despite bob's infatuation with diego at d-mid, it's screwing up his ability to put together a solid lineup as he tries to fit them both on the field at the same position, yet remaining in the 4-4-2 instead of 3-5-2. the easy answer would be to keep your usmnt player at his best/only position, and move your career utility player somewhere else. problem being that bob's named gutierrez captain for some bizarre reason, and now maybe he's concerned about looking like an idiot for picking a utility player as captain ... who has now lost his position to someone else and is forced to play on the wing. the never-ending saga of bob.
