Default Canadian squad announced for Scotland

Keepers: Lars Hirshfeld, 23 (Tottenham, EPL)
Pat Onstad, 35 (Rochester, A-league)

Defenders: Jason De Vos, 28 (Wigan, English 2nd Div)
Paul Fenwick,33 (Hibernian, SPL)
Kevin McKenna,22 (Hearts, SPL)
Richard Hastings, 24 (GAK Graz, Austrian First division)
Chris Pozniak,21 (Orebrao, Swedish First division)

Midfield:
Jim Brennan, 25 (Nottingham Forest, English First division)
Martin Nash, 26 (Rochester, A-league)
Paul Stalteri, 24 (Werder Bremen, Bundesliga)
Julian De Guzman, 21 (Hannover 96, Bundesliga)
Tam Nsaliwa, 20 (Saarbrucken, German 3rd Division)

Strikers:
Tomasz Radzinski, 28 (Everton, EPL)
Dwayne De Rosario, 24 (San Jose,MLS)
Davide Xausa, 26 (Livingston, SPL)

A small squad, lots of ommissions as a result. A fairly young squad, would have been younger if we hadn't called Fenwick & Onstad (which we could easily not have done, but as the match is being played in Fenwick's home park I guess we have to give him one last hurrah). Disappointed to see no Mike Klukowski, enjoying a fine first year as a pro in Belgium.

I guess the question is who is getting the job between the sticks ? I like Lars but I think Pat has to be given the nod for his sparkling play for the Rhinos.

Lars all the way. He's the future in goal until the bumper crop of U20 keepers gain experience or the current U23 keepers get jobs overseas.

Theres no reason to play Onstad. He's had his time, it's time for the younger guys.

Besides how stellar do you have to be to play well for the Rhinos?
