Yoo Byung-Soo scored his first goal for Al-Hilal few days ago against Aris Thessaloniki FC in a preseason game. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeQyHGGuO8Q"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeQyHGGuO8Q[/ame]
Lol! The Saudi league at his age? Jeez At least when he comes back home to go to the Army, he'll come back w/ all this...
Who knows? Depending on how much cash he's rolling in, maybe he's making a smart career move. You can only play football for a living for so long...
dunno but could've been any of these reasons. 1. He wasn't in form. Maybe he was just frustrated? 2. He was frustrated with match-fixing (or maybe even took part). 3. Money 4. Frustrated that he wasn't getting many looks for the KNT when he was in the K-League so wanted a fresh start. 5. Just dumb. I mean, who knows?
Once you go to the Middle East aren't you basically signaling an end to your career? I feel like he's given up on himself as far as KNT and playing in Europe. Does anybody know of a player that's done the reverse and while playing for a Middle Eastern league gets signed by a team in Europe?
I dont know why you guys are thinking that it has ended his career after he has signed for Hilal Fc.He has not signed for a third world football playing league but a respectable league in Asia and world and we dont have issues like in the K-league of match fixing and other betting rackets. In my sense you guys should be ashamed of your own league before pointing towards other league. Anyways,as Hilals main and first choice striker Yasser Al Qahtani is loaned to Al Ain for one season, the team has now left out with 3 strikers only. So, it is most considerable that Yoo Byoung Soo will be getting more playing time and develop his form.
We're joking around a little bit but we're not saying the Saudi league is bad. Its a quality league but for a young prospect like Yoo Byung Soo, its hardly a step up and keeping track of him for the national team also becomes much harder.
Whether you like it or not, he has effectively ended, in all likelihood, any chances of ever being considered for the KNT squad again. As for your other points, I'll politely refrain from comment as not to offend you.
No offense, I'm sure the Saudi league is full of good players. It's just that it has a reputation as a final paycheck retirement home which is puzzling why someone as young as this kid decided to take the leap.
As part of selection of national team, its on his performance that will decide his future for KNT not the league. But to be frank I was also amased that such young Korean player was signed by Hilal and the players former club also let him go.
No. It's not. Even if he were to rule the KSA league as golden boot winner every single year he's there, it won't matter for KNT selection. It is what it is. Anyway, we have a backlog of forwards as it is.
The ratio of K/J leaguers making the leap to become youthful prospect in a major league is way higher than the KSA.
it's just that he seems to have given up on higher aspirations so quickly. what does this say about the guy? never knt material anyway?
