do we have anyone on the team now that has the "badass" attitude? davis maybe? not having a eddie robinson type on the field is my only concern. thank you adam for your passion, your service and your pride. Best of luck and come back anytime. sorry you got sent to seattle.
i agree that boz and rico are intense and don't back down. they come across to me as quiet warriors though, in the vein of ching. I'm looking for the next overt regulator. the guy with the emotional spark and punch ala robinson, waibel, onstad, etc. also, when moffat was taken out to the game vs NYRB, he was so mad at himself he damn near kick the bench over and was throwing things. I just don't see many other folks on this team that are that hard on themselves when they don't perform well. maybe that's why we are in sixth place........
I obviously missed the kicking the bench incident and the throwing things. And we wonder why he got shipped out?
Adam Moffat gave us everything he had and I am grateful for that; however I am especially greatful of the wonderful memories he gave us - especially the spectacular goalazos. Not many players have his shooting talent. he made a difference in many big games when other players didn't step up. He was hard on himself but he then he would bounce back and make great cotributions when the team needed it most. Adam gave us alot of value for what he cost us. It was a really great acquisition by Dominic in getting him. He was great in challenging balls in the air and the ground (a very good tackler for us). An extremely smart player who could make a great splitting pass in the offensive third (MLS cup to Calen). Adam's only drawback was his lack of pace which wouldn't be much of a concern if Bobby Boswell was a little quicker himself. Adam now looks to be guaranteed a playoff game this year in contrast to staying with a team who has many players consistently underperforming. I am sure the weather and the atmosphere in Seattle will be one that he will enjoy. Thanks for the memories Adam - especially some of the best goals I have ever seen at a Dynsmo game. I will always remember the bomb from a ridiculous distance that beat Donovan Ricketts of LA in the top meter of the right upper corner. Absolutely world class. Best wishes for you and your family Adam!
