The latest rule change sees the runners-up from associations ranked 1-8 getting a berth for the round of 32. So the qualifying round should be much closer and exciting.

Albania and Latvia will be represented by their domestic champions for the first time and the champions of Luxembourg will return after 9 years of absence.

Currently the seeding pots (for the QRs) aren't that meanuingful. :D

Pot 2 team Gintra Universitetas lost 0:5 to the pot 3 team and couldn't beat the pot 4 team as well.

Probably because there is not much difference in quality between the different leagues.

The 'over-rated repeated champions' effect. Rewarding dull and uncompetitive leagues.

Well, the picture in question would be more appropriate for the "lingerie" league. No nudity but will definitely make you say: WTF.

Knowing you, your head will probably explode, regardless. :D:p

hmm. Not that racy. If you thought that would make my head explode, you don't know me very well ;) :D

Though the angel wings were a bit odd -- a not that successful take off on a Victoria's Secret campaign, I'm guessing.

How do these jokers get seeded every single year?

Austria are also 8th on the 2008-12 ranking and may thus get 2 teams soon (though this comedic failure may help Czech Republic or Spain to pass them...)

Undeserved to no end, but it always happens when the other team decides to waste countless of good goal scoring opportunities, so it's really no miracle.

i started to have strange misgivings about what was apparently an easy tie for OL... hmmm, brand new club with money, starts dominating their domestic league outrageously from day 1 of their existence... who knows what's really under the hood? not all that much apparently: 0-9

Well it is when you consider two of their starting defenders were out with injury and they played with people barely good enough for U-19.

It's amazing what going down went to Frankfurt's confidence though...suddenly their passing play went into Asker.

Very cryptic, but i did figure out that maybe Frankfurt lost.

Question - why did Potsdam sub their GK after 65 mins ? Injury ?
