Default MLS in FM Frustration Help?

So the patch fixes a bunch of problems but...

The league is really unplayable right now. MLS is getting ready to start a new season with 2 new teams, and this game only came out a couple of months ago, but they can't add the teams. This makes the game unplayable.

Will we have the same problem next year, with a game coming out in December set up to play a season that was over in October?

Is there anyway to fix this problem and add Chivas and Real?????

I agree it sucks, but oh well. For now I'm just glad it's in there. The first season you play is actually last year's. I believe. So everything is OK there. Perhaps it's too much of a pain to have two teams suddenly appear after the first season.

I thought the draft also blew. The game doesn't seem to invent any really good US players over the years to be drafted. No Eddie Gavens or Freddy Adu's in the future of US soccer I guess.

With the latest patch both Chivas and Salt Lake are in the game but you can't play as them. You can't even set their nation to USA, they are nationless!

I don't know what happens when you get to April 2005 though, if they appear in the game or not.. never got that far with the MLS.

haven't played an MLS season yet in FM and probably won't - but it's nice having all the American players in there, i like signing Freddy Adu and Gooch has been great as a free transfer pickup for Bordeaux in the French League.

on a sidenote, who in the world is Justin Moose? he's not real, is he?

Moose rejected my contract offer after his club agreed to sell him. Thought it would be a step down to join DC United.

Moose rejected my offer from Napoli, he went to Villarreal instead.

Not surprising as i am in Serie C!

Which patch version is being talked about?

I heard one version of the patch fixes a lot of MLS problems, but then totally drops the ball and leaves out the MLS Cup final...anyone else run into that problem?
