Lyon 2 Inter 1. Govou and Anderson getting it done, baby I knew those guys were studs. OL at the top of the group with 6 points. Ajax struggled with Rosenborg 0-0. Thank you Ajax don't give a crap it was controversial. Auxerre and Lens look to be out of it too bad Cissie was never healthy to play maybe things would have been different. As far as all the French people rooting for Arsenal kiss my arse you French scumbags!

First big win in a major International competition by a French club over a major Big 4 club in quite a while. It doesn't seem to happen nearly often enough. On the road too. Once the UEFA Cup gets down to the later stages we'll see if their will be more big wins. Hopefully no PSG-Rangers type disasters this year.

That result did not surprise me at all, Lyon is the new Marseille of the Tapie era. Sure on paper Inter might be better, but i have not seen a team play so well as Lyon, they play as a team, there offensive potential is one of the best in europe, better get used to it, Lyon will make it the quarter finals this year and keep improving in the years to come.
Those who will laugh at this post are biased and hate the french, they are thinking with their asses and not their heads, they know nothing about the french league. i was looking at poll results and 18-18 people said inter would win this wednesdays game in milan, i posted in another forum that Lyon would win, dont beleive me? ill send you a link.

Any time a Fench team beats an Italian team I have to smile. To do it on the road is all the sweeter. It would be nice to see Inter not qualify for the next round, but I do like Ajax because O'Brien plays for them.

Their is some bad news though Lorient was eliminated from the UEFA Cup. It was a 3-3 agg. with some Turkish team but Lorient lost on away goals. Damn!
