Well, the first game is, what, two weeks away, and there are 13 people listed on the roster on the site? I, for one, would love to know who I'll be virtually rooting for... Waiting until the last minute for the roster to fill up is one thing I've never liked about being a minor league soccer fan, although it seems like just one of the realities of the situation. On the other hand, Minnesota had 23 announced players last week.
Not like they've had a whole lot of time to get things in place - on paper, this team is two months old. What impressed me about Minnesota last year is halfway true of Carolina now.
Looks like Caleb Patterson will be back as one of the Railhawks keepers. Anyone know who the other keeper is going to be?
Where'd you hear that? There will probably be three. One will be Brad Knighton (not yet officially announced, but they're admitting to fans that that's who the guy in camp is who Martin keeps starting in every game), who will be the usual first-stringer. A couple people have been given the number two slot, and which of them gets it has yet to be determined. The only names I've heard mentioned are Sean O'Connor and Akira Fitzgerald, but there are or at least have been other candidates. Sean has basically said he's back, though the team hasn't officially announced it. I'm guessing he's got the number three slot again, but I suppose it's not impossible Martin feels he's developed enough in the past year that we'll see him dressed more regularly.
Not sure if I am sharing something that was not suppose to be shared yet, so I won't use their name, but trust me, it was a VERY reliable source. I am 100% sure about it, put it that way.
Given how much some of the office people have been willing to tell groups of TSF people at some of these games, I wouldn't worry about it unless you were asked not to share (in which case, don't). I'm not the only person to have heard Brad Knighton's name from multiple sources with the team, for instance, though they won't be announcing him officially until they have his contract finalized. If your sources are as good as you say, then I'd expect to usually see Knighton starting and Patterson on the bench, with O'Connor around to fill in if one of them is injured.
Knighton and Patterson are in, count on it. Caleb just moved back to the area and is training my son to be a goalkeeper. He didn't move back to Raleigh just to coach Max

Don't remember all of them, but: Yes, the keepers are Knighton, Patterson, and O'Connor (announced in that order). Also, Gregory Richardson is returning to the RailHawks.
