    Johnson Joins The Lilywhites

    Preston North End have signed striker Eddie Johnson on loan from Fulham until the end of the season.

    Johnson is the third forward to join Preston under Phil Brown after the club were able to secure the services of the American international from the Cottagers, who paid £3million to acquire his services from Kansas City Wizards.

    It'll be interesting to see what he can do in the Championship the 2nd time around. He looks a better player and will be more prepared than when he joined Cardiff City.

    Magic Johnson is eligible to play tomorrow but I'm pretty sure he will start on the bench and come on for the last ten/fifteen minutes as an impact sub.

    He will need the rest of the week to settle into the squad and understand how the gaffer wants to use him.


    As a PNE fan, I am happy with the signing. He has raw pace which we have lacked for ages.

    looks like they already went to Cardiff this year, would have loved to see him go back.

    This is the most important half-season for Eddie's career since his KC stint.

    At least, financially.

    As long as he doesn't end up on the north end of the bench.

    This is true. I feel more confident in EJ this time around. Cardiff had some real quality up front when EJ was there.

    EJ has a huge say in Preston's fate this season. Hes not buried down the bench, he will be knee deep in the plight. I hope hes up for it.

    And the manager is the same Phil Brown who led Hull City to the Premier League (and back down again)? He did at least help Jozy Altidore's hold-up play during his loan spell with Brown.
