Default Spurs to play DC Utd at the Lane on 17th October

Klinsmann will be back! It's a charity game! Hopefully this will help spread the gospel of Spurs to more yanks and they'll become fans of the Lillywhites.

Should be good, I'll try and get tickets.

Post Spurs vs DC United

Jum mate: good to see you're still alive and kicking.

Let us know your impressions of the DC United friendly if you go.

I'm in the process of wrapping up some business deals in California.

As soon as the deals go down, hopefully by December, I'm off to the Ing-er-land to catch some Spurs games and other London matches, and freeze my bollocks off no doubt.

Then off to the Canaries for some swimming, sunbathing, golf, tennis and maybe catch Vinny Samways at Las Palmas FC assuming he's still playing there!

Let's hope the Lilywhites get it together to run those Blue-turds out of the Worthy on Tuesday night.

COYS.

Default Woo Hoo !

It's great to hear from you again Cali !

Samways isn't at Las Palmas anymore. He's well regarded as a midfield enforcer over there and it would appear he's in demand. Went to another club, their name escapes me. I'll find out on google!

Highly unlikely to be televised...

Let us know how DC holds up, in particular the guest defense from SJ Earthquakes, Wade Barrett and the Goose.

Thanks!

On the Spurs side will be;

Paul and Clive Allen, Hoddle, Waddle, Klinsmann, Ginola, Mabbutt and Gazza.

I watched International Masters 5-a-side tonight (bunch of retired players play 16 minute games). Gazza played (even though he's not retired. He was absolutely awful, players long retired in their mid forties outstripped him for pace. Retire now with a shred of dignity Gazza!

The word just came out that FSW is going to show the match live.

DC won 1-0. A chap called Wade Barrett scored near the end. Lots of money raised for ex-Spurs players! Nice!

Actually I thought it was going to be one of those high scoring joke games that these events degenerate (or even generate) into. Alas, twas not to be. I didn't manage to go, although my bro did. I'll get the full spec from him in the near future.

What would be REALLY, REALLY cool, is an event that actually MEANS something so we can gauge just how good yank club football (soccer) really is. Friendlies (almost any kind) just don't paint an accurate picture at all. What do you lot think? A full strength Spurs V. a full strength DC would've been a lot cooler.

That would be a great game, for those of you that are strictly Spurs fans. I am guessing that Spurs would hand DC their arses with a full strength squad. Now, if Hudson can manage to get us back to contending for the MLS Cup, it might at least be considered a competition. But with the way we were playing last season, we wouldn't stand a chance.

I would love to see MLS clubs matching up against Premeireship sides for any event, be it a friendly, or some kind of club cup. Maybe this game is the start of something really enjoyable for those of us that love both leagues.
