Anyone have any information regarding Nagano Parceiro's application for J.League Associate Membership?
Kansai University FC 2008 beat Renaiss 5-1 in Sunday's play-off and so are promoted to KNS2 2012. KFC Gracias Saijo drew 0-0 with Nankoku Torastar in the first leg of the Shikoku prefectural/regional play-off. Next Sunday's second leg is effectively the final match of the 2011 Regional League season.
Ehime FC Shimanami have separated from the structure of Ehime FC and will be known in 2012 as FC IMABARI. Official blog is here.
It's at least a start and won't be too long before it gets developed into a better pro-rel system. When that does happen they'll probably call it J3. But it'll need the other teams to get up to scratch first professionally, and probably more money in the JFL. This step is a good start. --------- My concern is for the teams that are relegated from J2. They'll supposedly lose J.League membership (but still be an associate member, or able to get promoted still). But it will be very difficult while JFL is still deemed amateur for a pro-team to stay stable and not collapse or at least descend into an amateur team again. Until J3 is stabilized with say 10 teams, this will be difficult.
That's great, Shimanami is probably the best team in the Shikoku league. Do they aim at J. League promotion?
Did Ehime force Shimanami to relinquish their place in the promotion series to Kuroshio or is that too bold of an assumption? Might explain a couple of things about the break-up, but I dunno really.
Nankoku Torastar beat KFC Gracias Saijo 4-1 on Sunday and so are promoted back to the Shikoku League for 2012.
I think reading from ehime boards and new FC Imabari boards its more about lack of money in FC Ehime. The fans at Ehime are even talking about being afraid to be the first J-League club loosing its license because of bad economy and too old stadium not fullfilling new requirements. The chaos about reserve clubs can also be a reason. BUT dont forget Shimanami was originally a seperate club, as the JEF Reserves so maybe the grassroots have done some works too. only maybe.....
MIO Biwako Kusatsu going as MIO Biwako Shiga from next season. http://www.fcmi-o.com/page.html?submenuKey=1155013508806&id=1326852093453&mode=view
Yes thats the good news. That seems as the first step for MIO to try to become a future associate J-League member. Lets see how they solve the stadium issue. No stadiums in whole Shiga is fullfilling the J-League stadium requirements. Although many are saying that because of active NIMBY's in Shiga, Shiga might be the last or the only prefecture not to have a J-League team.
