Liverpool vs. West Bromwich Albion [R]
A Merry Christmas to Baggies around the world!
I hate to ruin the good cheer of this day, but we must for a moment focus reality. No club on the bottom of the Premiership as of Christmas has ever escaped relegation. If Albion continue the very poor form we've seen since the final weeks of Gary Megson's tenure as manager, there will be little chance for us to make history. Right now, we're sitting at the bottom of a well, staring up at the light of safety. Will we find the strength to climb out?
A Baggies win against the Reds - sounds a bit far-fetched at the moment, I know - could be an open declaration that Albion are prepared to fight remain in the Premiership. And it might also send a positive message to potential transfer targets as well.
Albion must improve when the transfer window opens in a week's time. Reports have come out this week that Argentinean midfielder Matias Almeyda is fairly close to signing. Other names have been whispered as well in recent weeks.

An absolute thumping. Where is the passion? Where is the pride? I've never seen a team lay down like that.

The baggies didnt even press the ball or put any challenges into liverpool .
It was like they just let them line up shot after shot .
Robbo was a bad managerial choice.

Re: Liverpool vs. West Bromwich Albion [R]
I've been supporting the Albion for around about 15/16 years. I'm 24, and can't remember ever seeing anything like this at the Albion.
I've seen us in some bad times like losing at Hartlepool, throwing away two goal leads at Exeter and Wycombe, losing to Woking, the list is endless and no disrespect but we should never in a million years be in the same league as them, i know that sounds arrogant. Anyway, through those times the support was always superb and we have easily some of the best away supporters in the country. Lately though, they've been more muted at home. I know good fans support their club through the bad times and we've had a few - i remember going to Pompey on the last day of the 93/94 season and we had to win to stay in the old 1st division and hope Blues lost to Tranmere and at Fratton Park the Albion fans swamped Pompey fans, we had more fans in the ground than they did - but the fact is, when a team, however outclassed they may be, stop trying, stop playing with pride, make school boy errors and show too much respect to the other team - thats when fans have every right to have a go at their team, to quieten down or whatever. This team at the moment is a disgrace, they seem to have given up and thats why i say i can't remember seeing anything like this. I've seen some really awful players that have tried their best and i've seen players who couldn't be arsed like Fabien De Freitas but never 8 or 9 players in one team.
Megson served his time and the fans that still chant his name don't know what their on about but at least he wound players up (even though in my opinion players shouldn't need winding up at that level). Robson is a docile, dull bloke who just stands there. Yesterday Benitez was out in his box cajoling his players when they were 3-0 up while Robson stood there clueless. People say it's not his fault cos it's not his team - ****************, he puts the players out there and tells them how to play, he makes tactical decisions (very rarely) so he has to take a lot of the blame put so too must the players who have given up. They can ******** off now with their thousands of pounds. The borough of Sandwell is the 3rd most deprived area in the country, and the men pay a huge chunk out of their paypackets to go up their and pay the wages for these ********in arsebandits who couldn't give a toss about the shirt.
I thought we had a good chance of staying up at the start of the season, now i can see us getting a record low points total.
