God what a save. Best player of his team so far, thanks to a much better second period.

I'm not sure after this match that Dortmund will be the champ, the team lacks "finesse" outside Kagawa and Goëtze.

Schalke won 3-0 and Uchida went the distance. Only saw the last 20 minutes. Uchida didn't have much to do but he was solid. His desire to get up the pitch was really good I thought. Him and Farfan are starting to link up well.

Good game, he keeps improving. Great. Schalke will often lack offensive power and I don't think they will grab a better place than 5th or 6th.
Nagatomo had the upper hand at the beginning, seems like things are turning.

Yes. It seems like there is a strong bond between Uchida and Raul, it's nice to see one of our players recognized by a legend.

While I only found some inofficial info, Yano is carrying some kind of minor injury I think. Soma said on his blog that he regretted not to play against Kisho due to his injury (when Cottbus beat Freiburg in the cup).

And with Cisse still in exceptional form and the only other uninjured striker also scoring now, there is no reason for them to rush Yano. As I said before, Freiburg is the team in the Bundesliga where he will have the least pressure .

Hannover players looking kinda stupid complaining after what their team-mate has done.

Sahin picked the right game to miss a PK... But it really looked he was going to miss as he prepared to kick.

Watching BVB play is a treat, anyway.
I really-really want them to win the Bundesliga!! :)

    edit: 3-0!!

Actually, he tried to shoot into his left corner but when he saw that keeper is going there, changed his mind and it came as a really weak execution of PK. Looking how Borussia plays it comes to me that they joined the club of beatifully, offensive football teams, like Arsenal and Barcelona. Simply word class! And those goals!
Shinji sholud score once again in the first half and should when he was looking for far post but missed. I thought that was 100% goal but unfortunately I was wrong. It looks like he made a perfect pick coming to Germany. Todays score was really nice, it's very satisfactory when you kick the ball right where no one was expecting it to come. Another good game for him!

    Nope, Del Piero-esque. :)

    He is the designed heir.

Two years in Dortmund, then Juventus #10 until he returns to Cerezo at 32yo :)

He's doing well in Germany and at Dortmund, it would be great if this young group of players stuck together for a while and fulfilled their amazing potential together. They can win the Bundesliga already. Beyond that, who knows. I know people are bored with the CL in that there's few realistic contenders. It was '97 when BVB won it and it would be great if they could be allowed to grow so much as to be so strong and experienced once more. Germany is a great league, exciting, and for another Japanese player to leave where he's been doing well, and to Serie A, that league doesn't interest me personally.

Great to see two Japanese in this weeks best eleven! It's a pity that I haven't watched Schalke game.

    Re: Japanese Abroad 2010/11 [R] - Germany

Didn't watch it wholly but it seems to me there is a new partnership born between Uchida and Farfan who really is seeking him as an outlet on the right flank. Still, I am not sure if defensively with basically the backline put together this summer, his forward runs are covered well enough.
But the assist is surely making life easier for him.

Btw, it's the first time this season that Schalke-players are named in the week's eleven.
