We have challenged Section 26, a Real Salt Lake supporters group to a 2 legged match (11 v 11) to decide the Supporters Rocky Mountain Cup! The 1st leg will take place at a field close to the Rio Tinto stadium (I am currently awaiting exact details) kicking-off at 4.30pm. If you want to play, please bring your cleats, shinguards, light blue BSG FC shirt (if you have one) & football shorts / socks (preferrably white in color). Rules will be the same as the BSG FC league with 2x 30mins halves & no sliding tackles. The 2nd leg will be at DSG Park on October 23rd before the Salt Lake home game. This event is open to all Rapids fans and not just those who are members of the BSG or an other supporters group.
Thanks for playing guys. It was a great time. I think we have started a great new tradition! Looking forward to the return leg, and taking advantage of the great facilities at the Dick
Good game RSL fans & thanks to Section 26 for organising the field on Saturday. Yep, we do have a bit of a (Rocky) Mountain to climb but we are all set for the 2nd leg on October 23rd.
At the moment we have a time of 5pm - the plan will be have your tailgate right by the field (exact details to be worked out jointly with the Rapids, RSL, your SGs our SGs this week). Do you think we should try & make it earlier, say 4 or 4.30pm?
