Anyone out there have the workaround for the missing players bug? I'm into my fourth year with Canvey Island (again) and have lost two key players. They no longer appear in any squad list. And, therefore, I can't select them in my game day squad. I search for them and they are still contracted to Canvey. No matter what I do I cannot get them to show back up in my squad list.

Who can dig me out of this hole? Major problem w/FM2005!!

Nope. This is a known bug in FM2005. The players are still searchable and under contract to my team. I simply cannot see them in my squad selection lists.

I realize this is a known bug (apparently fixed in the elusive patch). I was hoping someone knows of a workaround in the meantime.

Maybe you have the filter on by accident? Although I doubt it.

This happened to me the other day... except right in the middle of the match. Wayne Rooney had a knock, was on rating 4 and condition 46. I decided to take him off. But guess what happened? I couldn't see him on my tactics board. He had just... vanished. I replaced him but I couldn't see the substitute on the board either. I had to quit when I was 6-1 up against Juventus away.

I don't know what the deal was, but the patch has fixed it. I'm now into my seventh year with Canvey. The last three in the premiership. Won it once and been to the FA final two of the last three years. I can't do jack in Europe though. I'm either out in the first round or can't get out of my group.

A hint. Will Johnson is the man for me. I picked him up in season one from Stoke (I think). He's consistently scoring 20+ per season for me and has really developed into a top level player. 16 caps for the US with 4-5 goals.
