the match allegedly will be shown on FSW at 6 p.m. Saturday EDT.

Unless the lads wake up from their 3-match scoreless streak early, this potentially could be a snoozer....or a prime candidate for a pitch invasion.

We needed the result, but with a few exceptions (e.g. Shearer, Bellamy, Griffin) didn't play well.

The entire midfield was useless. Dyer's sole positive contribution was the pass for Bellamy's goal.

A decent team would have made us look bad. It's lucky the Mackems are truly appalling now but unless our midfield sort themselves out (or are replaced by players in better form - say Viana and Jenas) we will struggle in future games.

This season is starting to depress me.
