There are news that 4 French NT players were engaged in sexual activities with under age prostitutes in France

Here is a link of a french website claiming Ribery and Govou were questioned as witnesses.

I don't understand French, I tried to translate the page and what I understood was Ribery's lawyer saying he was only questioned because he is a regular customer to an escort service in question

The guy is a Muslim, married with 2 kids

Please if anyone understands French, can he translate exactly what they say about Ribery.

(wants to point out that footballers' religion and fatherhood status have nothing to do with whether they allegedly cheat on their wives or not)

    Re: Team News XX 2010

i think the way they word the title, as well as the first few paragraphs is entirely misleading. they don't really clear the air until the bottom with ACTUAL quotes. the entire title and top few paragraphs make it sound like Govou and Ribery were already found guilty  stupid f*cking british media attempting to sell papers :p

Well, that still has to be proven.

    *sarcasm alert*

If it's true we probably have a better chance of signing him now since his wife may drop his ass to the curb.

No more my wife does not like it here and it's too cold and rainy.

Really? I hear that he is just there as a witness, not responsible for any of this. That's what his lawyer stated.

Because a lawyer isn't saying what he's paid to say...

Too bad Cochran's dead, could have pulled the "if it doesn't fit, you must aquit" defense

Maybe that's why the whole contract talks were put on hold. Maybe it's not ribery but our FO who really wants to know if he would be playing soccer in the Allianz or a prison yard next year.;)

Exactly... what did you expect his lawyer to say? hate to say it but this things seems like it might have legs and Ribery definitely seems to be in the middle of it... Guilty, witness or whatever...

This def. has to be a big distraction which sucks because it comes before one of the biggest games of the year... it almost makes you wonder at the timing of it all coming out just before the CL semi with Lyon's opponents' big star being named... must be some OL fans in the Lyon justice dept...

One thing is for sure- that Abou cat def. looks like one weird, sketchy dude.... and i have to immediately get some shirts made up with my name on the front...

too bad it doesn't have an effect on our flying dutchmen :p

ribery has had so many things going on this year, and has soo many things going on in his head, he hasn't been the same. robben on the other hand has had a chip on his shoulder to prove how good he really is, after the way he was treated at Real Madrid. robben is possessed, and as long as he isn't in the media, i am fine. so come on french media, make Ribery your whipping boy, the flying dutchmen won't mind introducing himself to you

The good thing if Ribery stays here next season is he will try to play his best to compare to Robben or outdo him.

Oh, what a novel concept. Competition begets more competition.

Do you guys really think that MvB just became such a better player because of LvG. I would say he got better because of Tymo. Last year in April you could read some stuff of him saying that he was ready for the battle and that he would still start.

without question... I'm still not a fan of MVB but I won't argue that he isn't playing at least 2 levels higher than he was last year... He knew going into this year that his spot was gone but he won it back- good on him...

So guys what's the general consensus regarding case? Ribery involved, uninvolved-guilty, non-guilty?

i personally think he is uninvolved and not guilty. yes govou and ribery were asked questions... but they don't say who is the main person, etc. as in, the one the questions were asked about. personally i'd be interested in finding out who the guy(s) is/are. just because they were at a bar or club, it doesn't mean they were simply enjoying themselves, or that they were there with their girlfriends/wife/fiancee/etc and were simply witnesses. you could be innocent and still be a witness

I was once called in by the FBI to answer questions about an employer I once DJ'ed part-time for.

They are now behinds bars. I never received cash for my services.

    True story.
