I watched it live on cable (FSW) over here for all of the Aussie batting innings and the pitch was diabolical. One normal length medium-paced ball reared out of the pitch and almost decapitated Darren Lehmann (who swore loudly for all to hear via the stump microphone).

Andrew Symonds, after a frustrating time on this pitch, eventually got behind one ball and hit an normous six over the trees and completely out of the ground into an adjoining canal. That lost ball had to be replaced by another from the box of alternate balls.

Didn't see much of the second innings as I chose to sleep instead of watching the cricket or the Olympics.

Cheers.
