I like the ads. One thing I would change is add (BRA) after Santos FC so it's not confused with the mexican santos.
Why not confuse them? Then they'll get more casual fans from the Mexican and other Latino communities to the Santos FC game and who knows, maybe even convert them to come back again through out the season after experiencing the mecca of US footie!!!
i'm pretty sure that most fans that see the billboard and say, 'wow! santos is playing at rba?! sweet!' would already know which santos it is based on the shield. plus you might have non-soccer people thinking 'what the hell is a santos bra? is this like a lingerie bowl to draw attention or something?'
RBNY ads at the PATH station in Hoboken: [ame="http://vimeo.com/9405138"]http://vimeo.com/9405138[/ame]
"Name: Jeremy Hall Position: Midfielder" JCO please jot this down in your notebook, where ever you are.
Looks like they were thinking the same thing, as the ads in the video that Viper just posted now say "Santos FC Brazil."
I would never think that a "Santos" team would be any club different than the brazilian one. Maybe it's because I'm from SA.
He is here in Colombia. And the bastard is winning away games on Libertadores Cup. On Spanish: http://www.oncecaldas.com.co/not_noticia.php?UID_NOT=NOTWW0001387 (Do you think MLS websites are crap?)
I got excited once when the revs announced they were playing against santos a few years ago. Upon further review, it was the mexican santos. Im glad to see the newer ads clear that up. The mexican league is simply more popular in north american than the brazilian one. And of course, depending on your background you might automatically think of one or the other.
I walk past the Hoboken PATH ads everyday. Love when they have RBNY stuff up. The current ads are pretty cool. Labeling Kandji "the Artist"? Hmm. Got my tickets, im fired up.
Is that what they did for Kandji? The "Overdribbler" might have been more appropriate at this point in his career. Dane I'd call "The Headless Chicken". Sassano could be "The Backpasser".
Drove from Brooklyn to Newark Airport yesterday and on the way, along 1-9 (via Pulaski Skyway) saw 2 of those giant billboards with "the stage is set" ads. On the way back from Newark, I took the path, and noticed that the Harrison path station is virtually dominated by Red Bull ads. I mean, just about the whole length of the stop has them. I didn't count them, but there had to be 8 or 10 of them, just on one side, with pictures of the players (Angel is the Assassin, etc.) Even though it was dark, I could see the stadium. I swear, if I were a cartoon, there would be little hearts floating from my eyes. What a beautiful sight that stadium is.
I would have gone with "The Broken Record" because he's always injured but in between he does show signs of promise.
Those are quite awesome That aside, I know it's been suggested before, but decalling a few PATH trains with RB soccer and what not or naming one the Red Bull Express, etc. Also will the supporters be taking one train from I assume Nevada Smith's?
has this been mentioned yet? http://redbulls.theoffside.com/red-...lor-display-to-honor-red-bulls-new-arena.html
What sideshow? I don't remember no sideshow? What? We played last year? What team were we again? (Man those guys drove me to drink last year.) (It was last year and if you post that video I will jump through the internets and beat you with my shoe Kruschev-style.)
Take the L to the 6th Ave Station, hop on the 14th St. PATH, then switch at Journal Square to get to Harrison. The PATH would have to be from the WTC station if they were to decal a train.
