Default Pompey v Brum yesteday

I rang my 8 yr old son Thursday night telling him he`s going to miss the first game of the season. He was on holiday at his nan`s in Wales.

"But Dad, Its the FIRST game of the season, I can`t miss it!" He sobbed down the phone to me.
Several tantrums, fights, general misbehaviour and a ruined day at Shrewsbury Castle later his nan (my Mum) gives up and persuades my Uncle in
Hereford to take him back to Portsmouth for the match. It cost me bloody fifty quid in petrol money! I wasn`t happy.

Met my Uncle outside the Ship Anson pub by the dockyard (he wasnt happy either!) just as two police vans loaded with robocops turned up to check out some moody looking Birmingham fans that were drinking in the area.
I`m always trying to convince my family how safe it is at football nowadays and I didn`t need my Uncle seeing that!
After telling my boy what a little sod he was and all the aggro he`s caused to my relatives I take him into the pub - and my mate`s are all patting him on the head and buying him lemonades saying "Well done, you`re a true Blue".
I suppose its my fault he`s so obsessed, Ive been taking him to Fratton since he was three!
As for the game, it was nice to get our first point on the board against a big-spending team that are looking for a European place this season. It was end to end stuff that could have gone either way!
Our rivals Southampton lost to Birminghams rivals Aston Villa 2-0, so not a bad day really!Match report

lol. I really enjoyed the match that day. I really wanted us to win though but I think we played a fair game (not sure about Birmingham with Savage though)

Do you think we should have got that penalty?

I do and i also think Savage should have been sent of for starting 2 fights.

I also went to the game. I enjoyed it because before the game I was a bit nervous because of all of Birmingham's ambitions for this season and how I think they're gonna do.

But I think we played well and battled well. Yeah Savage should of got a lot more attention from the referee. He hardly got spoken to. Always always always trying to start a fight.... Not even funny :|

But yeah I enjoyed it! A draw was good!
