http://english.psv.nl/show?id=21372&contentid=6925
[English version stories now open!]
Here's the squad. The two Koreans are back as is Cocu.
PSV squad for the game against FK Crvena Zvezda:
Goalkeepers: Gomes, Zoetebier.
Defenders: Ooijer, Lee, Alex, Bouma, Lamey, Bøgelund.
Midfielders: Van Bommel, Cocu, Vogel, Lucius, Fehér.
Forwards: Park, Vennegoor of Hesselink, Beasley, Farfán, De Jong, Bakkal and Sibon.
Bease's first CL game. Babytiger will yoube doing PBP?
BTW when the english version goes kaput send your e-mail via the dutch version. The web master replied fairly promptly and the problem was fixed ~48 hours after I received a reply.

Beasley plays the role Robben used to play, which is an outside forward in a three forward system. He's not a striker, but you can label him as either an A-mid or a forward. I really think this is the perfect role for him. He plays great defence. but is really at his best when he can focus completely on attack.

Previous threads reported PSV playing a 4-3-3
Bease playing a withdrawn fwd on the left. Evidently he's set the table a few times from there, but his teammates haven't finished.
This would leave space for him to attack, and also permit him to defend. Whether he's defending wide of center, requiring him to come further back I don't know. I suspect not, and that he's helping out more pinched in.
Without seeing any games I can only imagine an asymetric formation which is not uncommon in Dutch coaching (re: Ajax a few years back)
Maybe some guys that saw other games can comment. As this is the first real game for the squad Hiddink will probably reveal more than he has to date. He flew over for the Red's 3-0 pounding of the Young Boys so he should be ready.
"Guus Hiddink is going to watch the second leg of the Champions League qualifying game between Red Star and Young Boys in Belgrade. In the first leg the two teams recorded a 2-2 draw.
The PSV head coach had to get up early on Wednesday morning, for his plane took off at 7, 30 from Manchester Airport. "

Re: PSv vs Red star Belgrade
Not sure if this is meaningful, but Pierluigi Collina is the referee for this match.

PSV web site gives 2030 as kick off (8:30 PM Belgrade time).
I believe time zone for Belgrade is UTC/GMT +2 hours
CEST - Central European Summer Time
So woud be nine hours difference PT time. 11:30 AM

It's a night game so they can't confuse his head with the sun...
I would guess someone felt this match deserved a strong ref.
