More gossip from Sanga: Takenori Hayashi likely to JEF United (J2!!!). Allegedly, Yuto Sato has problems finding a team (I assume either he asks too much, or he wants a starting member spot -- and he comes from an overall crappy season). Not sure about Sidiclei, no real info abut him...
Re: 2010 J. League Transfers & Off-the-field News Kashima Antlers signed GK Akihiro Sato from Sanfrecce Hiroshima on a one-year loan deal. http://www.sponichi.co.jp/soccer/flash/KFullFlash20100109075.html Kashima have now 3 decent and young back-ups for their first-choice GK Sogahata: 1- Akihiro Sato (23 years old). 2- Shinichiro Kawamata (20 years old). 3- Naoki Yagai (18 years old). They have also enough depth in central defence (with Iwamasa, Lee Jung Soo, Oiwa, Inoha and Koji Nakata) and forward (with Marquinhos, Koroki, Osako and Sasaki) departments, they just now need to get a wing-back (they are already chasing Albirex's Gilton) and two good midfielders.

Re: 2010 J. League Transfers & Off-the-field News It's a brief one-line mention in a Brazillian newspaper so I dunno how credible it can be, but according to this, Ricardinho (currently with Athletico PR even though he just finished a loan with ABC Futebol Club) is attempting to negotiate the end of his contract so that he can sign with FC Tokyo. He's 5'10, spry, and although he's only scored 4 goals so far he creates plays judging from this YouTube clip and we would welcome him with open arms. He's also young which would help a lot. Re: 2010 J. League Transfers & Off-the-field News Well, as in the case of Dutra, what I think is: if they're good, how long before they emigrate to Europe or Middle East? For me the best species of Brazilian is still that of the Sidiclei, Lucas, Paulinho etc.
Re: 2010 J. League Transfers & Off-the-field News Why not. His days in Bochum did not go as he planned I guess. 0 goals. Although it started great with 2 assist in his debut. I wonder if he plays great before the WC , then Okada may choose him? The season starts in March right? Maybe that period is to short.
Re: 2010 J. League Transfers & Off-the-field News Agreed. He's a very good player, one of our only bright lights from the Beijing Olympics alongside Federici. Hopefully he gets plenty of gametime in the leadup to the World Cup because Australia is getting very light on in the CB department.
Re: 2010 J. League Transfers & Off-the-field News Three defenders now in the J League.... any decent strikers? I hear a lot about this Holman guy, he any good?
Re: 2010 J. League Transfers & Off-the-field News Well, Hayashi at JEF is now official. Sanga's gossip of the day is an inquire with twin-club Grenoble about Sho Ito (FW, 21), who's not getting many minutes in France.... PS = Is he 20, or 21...? Well, somewhere there, doesn't matter. He is young and never played in J.League.
Re: 2010 J. League Transfers & Off-the-field News The poster in question had it coming. And if you think that's filth, you must not make it to the Rivalries forums very often.
Re: 2010 J. League Transfers & Off-the-field News Sho Ito hahaha. I would love to see what the "japanese Thierry Henry" is capable of. But he hasn't play for ages.
Re: 2010 J. League Transfers & Off-the-field News three? aside from eddie bosnar & the recent signing who's the other aussie defender?
Re: 2010 J. League Transfers & Off-the-field News Tulio will use his time at Nagoya only till after the WC. I am pretty sure he has an exit clause in his contract and will be gone to Europe if he performs well during the WC. But it really looks like Toyota opened its money box. They want to buy the them championship.
Re: 2010 J. League Transfers & Off-the-field News We'll take your opinion seriously, since it comes from an expert BTW, I don't think Kashiwagi is going to cost much less than Tulio...
Re: 2010 J. League Transfers & Off-the-field News Wow, a car company in Japan trying to buy a championship.......that would be a first!
After a great year at Mito, forward Takasaki has been welcomed back with a press meeting at Urawa Reds. It seems he'll be pushed to an important role at the club.
