Now, Scholes...
Knee surgery on Tuesday, six weeks out.
So the midfield pool currently is: Veron, Butt, Giggs, Beckham, Chadwick, Djordic, Stewart, Pugh.
Currently out: Keane, Scholes, Fortune.
The 4-5-1 is dead for the time being, unless he uses Ole in the hole.

Nope.
And with Beckham out for tomorrow, the lineup should be very interesting...

Veron, Butt, Giggs, and Chadwick are the obvious choices today with all the other players out. Not a bad midfield for having 4 midfielders injured. I won't be sorry to see the 4-5-1 disappear. It seems to me that there are more goal scoring opportunities in the 4-4-2, particularly for Ruud.

Becks may start tonight after all. Ricardo might make his first appearance on the 1st team also.
