Why is Aulas selling their best players now ? I never got the impression they needed money that badly. Is Aulas gonna sell the team ? I read the Lyon forum and they seem pretty confused and upset over there. Aulas said he'd never sell a player to a direct competitor but then he goes and sells a player to Marseille. If you let Luyindula go you have to pray that Elber has a great year and me personally I wouldnt bet on that considering he's aging and was begging to go back to Germany. How can you lose 3 starting defenders off a championship team and then expect to win anything. They never replaced Dhorasoo and Carriere in the midefield. Why did they let those guys go for nothing. They're talking about replacing Edmilson with a player from a Brazlian club but that seems like a weak replacement to me. Replace Luyindula with a guy from Anderlecht thats another weak one right now. I'm not a Lyon fan but I had hopes that they could make the Champions League semi finals or finals but as of right now no way is that happening. I dont expect Monaco to do anything in the Champions League either because of the offensive players they lost. PSG is the only French team now that can go deep in the Champions League now and the whole league's hopes have to rest on them. Monaco and Lyon had glorious Champions League runs last year but this year its looking bleak already. Its a shame because Lyon could have had just as good a chance in Europe as PSG if not better but Aulas has weakened them.
