Default stupid high school rules...

who else doesn't like how high school rules? like for example, if you get two yellows, you can't go back in the game, but some one goes in for you, so teh game stays 11v.11. also shinguards are supposed to be 2 inches above the shoe, which seems pretty low. also, this year teams arent allowed to start playing with the ball until august 16th because playing with the ball before that date is considered an advantage.... are these rules nationwide or only in california??? i seriously think the people who made these know nothing or very little about soccer....

I'm gonna tell you something most adults won't: get over it. There are rules (sometimes made by people who don not give a rats arse about what they are making rules about ... welcome to America.

Again, get over it. But, with that said, who can regulate you getting together with some of your buddies at a local pitch? Make the calls abd get your team together and play. If it is a 'pick up game' no one can give you any *edit* shizzle *edit*. (can't believe you can't even say 's h i t e' ... what is censorship coming to when you can't even curse like a Brit)

Bottom line: you can complain and do nothing or you can be proactive. Your choice. That said, I play at a regular 'pick up game' with some if the guys who play varsity where I coach one of the middle school teams.

Oh yeah, about the shin guard rule:
Unless you are either really small or incredibly large for your age, most shin guards will cover most of your shin - even if they must me two inches from the top of your boot (the shortest shin guard in Eurosport is 6 in.). If you think your pads ride too low, get longer ones.

I understand being 15-18 is all about rebelling and challenging the staus quo, but being an adult is about playing by the rules until you can change them. The sooner you realize that, the better off on the road to being an adult you will be.

The rules do sound stupid to me and i'm from Britain. However, you can easily get around the 'no kicking the ball with coach' by getting together and your captain being in charge. The coach could tell him before hand what should be done.I don't know if this is allowed but you would think whoever was in charge of the league would want the highest possible standard of football to be played, not banning people kicking a ball.

america is stupid first of all they call the game soccer when its called football and then they go and make some of the stupidist rules ive heard of in my life,
and the game they call football dosent involve kicking a ball in most of the match and they were massive pads .

does anyone else have to play with the three whistle system meaning there are thre refs instead of one ref and two linesmen? I think this system blows.
