Default Will Hesmer

Will played tonight for the Richmond Kickers against Nottingham Forest in a 1-1 draw. According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, he is expected to be with the team again on Sunday in a league match against Rochester.

It says that Hesmer will be going back to KC after the game Sunday. I was wondering how often he would be available should the Kickers need to call him back in for whatever reason. Would he be available full-time for the rest of the A-League season, or is he needed back in Kansas City?

If the Wizards really felt like loaning Hesmer to the Kickers for the rest of the season I guess they could. We have Bo as our backup, and while it would always be good to have a 3rd keeper around, why not let Hesmer get some PT?

Hesmer is available. I can't think of one good reason while Tony and Bo are both healthy to not get a young keeper some valuable time in professional games.

Hesmer has no shot of getting minutes here in KC. From the article I read earlier today, Hesmer is getting time (he's the backup there) so that he will be available to the team as A-league rosters are frozen next week and only players that have minutes with the team are eligible for roster spots.

With that, it still isn't certain that Will will get any minutes other than those tonight and the start this weekend. Also if he is returning to KC there are no minutes for him here.
